The National Fire Service College (NFSC) was established in 1956 at Rampur (U.P.) and shifted to Nagpur in 1957. It is one of the allied organizations of the Disaster Management Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The core objectives of College is to impart education and training to fire professionals of the country in advanced techniques of fire science, fire prevention & protection, fire fighting & rescue techniques and medical support and to create uniformity in the fire service organizations and their management across the country.
To examine proposals on the subjects being dealt with in the Section. The MTS/LDC/UDC submits files/cases to Assistant and subsequently to Officer-in-Charge of the concerned sections, who gives suggestions on the proposals and submits to Head of Office in accordance with the channel of submission and level of disposal of the matters under consideration for Director being the Head of the Department.
iii) The procedure followed in the decision making process, including channels of supervision and accountability;
(iv) The norms set by it for the discharge of its functions;
The guidelines framed by the Government of India from time to time and the relevant orders issued from the Directorate General, Fire Service, Civil Defence and Home Guards, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi.
(v) the rules, regulations, instructions, manuals and records, held by it or under its control or used by its employees for discharging its functions;

(vi) a statement of the categories of documents that are held by it or under its control ;
(vii) the particulars of any arrangement that exists for consultation with, or representation by, the members of the public in relation to the formulation of its policy or implementation thereof;
Such provision of participation of public in formulation of policy or implementation does not exist as this Institution is purely governed by the guidelines/orders issued by the Government of India from time to time.
(viii) a statement of the boards, councils, committees and other bodies consisting of two or more persons constituted as its part or for the purpose of its advice, and as to whether meetings of those boards, councils, committees and other bodies are open to the public, or the minutes of such meetings are accessible for public ;
