National Fire Service College is an Institution of Excellence for training to Fire & Emergency Service professionals under Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Such training provides ample of opportunities to students to take up challenging work at various stages and the present B.Tech. (Fire Engineering) course work has a brand new academic curriculum which weaves research and innovation not yet available in other institutions in India.
The National Fire Service College is on the lane to become a leading institute of excellence in this country, which produces young and dynamic Fire Professionals and Fire Engineers keeping in view the future needs of various organizations with respect to Fire Safety, Fire prevention and Fire Protection aspects.
In recent past, the College has developed 12 state of art Laboratories and is in the process of adding Field Training Modules in order to strengthen the learning, research and testing capabilities of the College.
This invariably will build capacities of the students and trainee officers to undertake projects for enforcement of higher standards of Fire Safety in their respective organizations.

All have made remarkable leadership and commendable contributions to Fire Services growth and success. They have left behind a legacy of excellence, which intend to build upon and carry forward as we face the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Improvement in the functioning of the Department is one of the highest priorities. All officers and staff have become a part of the reform process by way of their participation and contribution.
Each and every States/UTs Fire Services send their valued inputs/ suggestions in this regard. The performance of the Department cannot improve unless each and every functionary in the Sections feels adequately motivated and work with cohesiveness, team spirit, improved work culture and fraternity. For achieving such work culture, the conflicts of interests amongst various classes and cadres shall be sorted out by finding best possible solutions and by improving the career prospects of all categories of officers and staff at all levels. Training, Timely promotions, internal events, grant of MACP/ NFU and creating conducive work environment will lead to enhanced output and bring satisfaction among the personnel, who are our backbone.
We have to strive for professional excellence, greater transparency and high ethical standards so that we are recognized as an efficient and helpful Fire services organization manned by proficient functionaries who love to serve with attitude of service and dedication. Impetus is to be given on a transparent governance system so that our clients, stakeholders can assess the organization from what they experience and not from what the organization narrates about itself. All officers of NFSC set well defined achievable goals and work in time bound manner be it in the field of completion of the projects, implementation of ERP in NFSC, improvement in Fire services, resolution of the problems of various training Centre of NFSC, etc. Each one owes a duty towards our department. Let us serve it to the best of our ability with all our heart and soul in a cohesive and responsive way. With the continued support and able guidance of our Ministry; we will proactively move towards all-round growth of the Department on Mission Mode.
We will work together to continue to march ahead on the golden path so well curated by our Professors, Dy. Director and, Assistant Director. Everyone’s support and cooperation for carrying our department to greater heights of success and glory. In the end entire NFSC fraternity exhort to strive even harder in their endeavours.
