National Fire Service College (NFSC), Nagpur | Fire Service Day 2026 NFSC Nagpur solemnly observed Fire Service Day (14 April 2026), marking the beginning of Fire Service Week (14–20 April), as per the directives of the Director General (Fire Services, Civil Defence & Home Guards), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The day honoured the supreme sacrifices of brave fire personnel. Dr. A. R. Sontake, Professor & Director, NFSC, paid floral tribute at the Martyrs’ Column in remembrance of the brave fire service personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty, along with homage to martyrs Shri Soni S. Kumar and Shri Doongar Singh. Chief Guest Shri Surendra S. Kshtriya, Director (Finance), MECL, highlighted the critical need for fire safety awareness in schools, hospitals, and society. A grand rally of modern firefighting appliances showcased NFSC’s emergency response capabilities and commitment to public safety. The Chief Guest flagged off the rally of firefighting vehicles from the campus. The ceremony featured an outstanding performance by Platoon Commander Shri Harsh Keshwarwani and was smoothly anchored by Shri Ramesh Chandra Manihar, Senior Demonstrator, with enthusiastic participation from students, trainee officers, dignitaries, alumni, and staff.
